The Mental Health Professional Lead plays a vital role in delivering patient-centered care of the highest quality. They give exceptional psychiatric treatment services to patients and their families, carrying out a range of tasks such as assessments, psycho-education, process groups, treatment planning, discharge planning, and therapeutic counseling help. They use evidence-based interventions in one-on-one, family, and group therapy sessions to achieve the best possible results.
Also, they offer leadership and coaching to the care team, acting as an invaluable resource for them.
Oversees staff provision of care and services, ensuring the use of accepted standards of care.
Helps in interviewing and selecting qualified team members as required to meet departmental goals.
Reviews, coaches, and ensures the training of new staff/interns as assigned within approved practice and program guidelines.
Provides clinical supervision of others towards advanced licensure, as appropriate.
Provides initial and ongoing performance review/development of assigned team members including development opportunities.
Utilizes appropriate and regular oversight when delegating proficiency assessment activities.
Assumes responsibility for appropriate disciplinary action of staff members in partnership with HR.
Develops department goals and clinical programming.
1 year or more experience in leadership preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
3 years or more experience in mental health or related field required.
Masters Degree in Social Work or related field required.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
