The Mental Health Professional Lead plays a vital role in delivering patient‑centered care of the highest quality. They give exceptional psychiatric treatment services to patients and their families, carrying out a range of tasks such as assessments, psycho‑education, process groups, treatment planning, discharge planning, and therapeutic counseling help. They use evidence‑based interventions in one‑on‑one, family and group therapy sessions to achieve the best possible results, and they also offer leadership and coaching to the care team, acting as an invaluable resource.

What

will you do in this role
  • Oversee staff provision of care and services, ensuring the use of accepted standards of care.
  • Help in interviewing and selecting qualified team members as required to meet departmental goals.
  • Review, coach, and ensure the training of new staff/interns as assigned within approved practice and program guidelines.
  • Provide clinical supervision of others towards advanced licensure, as appropriate.
  • Provide initial and ongoing performance review and development of assigned team members, including development opportunities.
  • Utilize appropriate and regular oversight when delegating proficiency assessment activities.
  • Assume responsibility for appropriate disciplinary action of staff members in partnership with HR.
  • Develop department goals and clinical programming.
What qualifications you will need
  • 1 year or more experience in leadership preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • 3 years or more experience in mental health or related field required.
  • Master's Degree in Social Work or related field required.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
