Bilingual Preferred:

• Perform venipunctures and finger sticks; process specimens (blood, urine, stool) following practice policies.
• Conduct quality control testing; maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments.
• Measure and record vital signs; assist with patient triage.
• Undertake clinic-related duties as required.
• Complete MA rooming notes; assist physicians with clinic examinations (pap smears, chaperone breast/rectal exams, bone marrow biopsies).
• Transport patients using wheelchair; return calls for routine follow-up; process radiology orders, referrals, medication orders; maintain professional communication.
• Manage patient care supplies; schedule patient appointments; coordinate tests and procedures per physician orders.
• Prepare charts for physician clinics; verify results included; obtain missing reports.
• Perform other tasks as assigned to support clinic operations and patient care.
• Handle patient admissions: obtain vitals, process labs, update charts with vitals, labs, medication lists.
• Prepare patients for exams; provide equipment, support positioning and transfer.
• Provide therapy patients with guidance to treatment area or scheduling; submit precertification/authorization requests; schedule required tests; give preparation instructions.
• Collect lab orders, determine on‑site vs reference labs; label and store samples; communicate changes to nursing staff; ensure compliance with CLIA.
• Perform on‑site testing (CBCs, urine dipstick, pregnancy tests, PT/INR finger sticks, Hemoccult stool); document results.
• Retrieve reference lab reports; forward to nursing; keep duplicates; report results; communicate alert values verbally.
• Manage laboratory supplies; perform routine instrument maintenance; meet QA/PT standards; maintain reference lab communication.
• Manage biohazardous waste; conduct inventory; discard expired items; reorder supplies.
• Act as phone backup when receptionist unavailable; answer, screen, transfer calls; check voicemails; return calls end of day.
