Overview
Physical Therapist IP Rehab at Corpus Christi Medical Center.
We are seeking a Physical Therapist to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the physician and patient care team. The Physical Therapist completes patient assessments and participates in developing and implementing individualized care plans with a focus on goal achievement, patient engagement, and positive patient experience.
Responsibilities- Provide evaluations and treatment interventions within the scope of practice established by law and professional ethics.
- Assess and evaluate therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status and participate in developing the total plan of care.
- Provide purposeful and skilled therapeutic care at the patient’s home, using procedures and techniques to support the physician’s plan of care.
- Instruct patient/family/caregiver in the use of therapies, exercises, therapeutic appliances, and/or prosthetic devices to be used outside of therapy sessions.
- Prioritize caseload, determine daily staffing needs and coordinate assignments/handoffs.
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Texas
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited PT program
- IP rehab experience in a hospital setting is preferred; new grads will be considered
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Must be able to work weekdays and 1 weekend a month
