Help Desk Technician – Corpus Christi, TX (Contract)
Job DescriptionWe have an immediate need for a Help Desk Technician to support an important government customer in Corpus Christi, Texas. The role requires excellent phone etiquette, the ability to enter information into a trouble‑ticket tracking system, and troubleshooting skills for Windows, MS Office, and other commercial off‑the‑shelf (COTS) applications. Candidates must be able to lift 50 lbs and work independently while following direction.
Responsibilities- Answer the main Help Desk phone and enter trouble tickets.
- Assist customers with issues over the phone and, when possible, provide remote or on‑site troubleshooting.
- Assist walk‑in users with limited troubleshooting of OS, application, printing, and network issues.
- Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and documentation.
- Minimum 1 year of IT experience.
- Phone etiquette and basic troubleshooting of Windows, Office, and COTS applications.
- Desired: advanced Windows, Office, and COTS troubleshooting skills and Active Directory experience.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work without constant supervision.
- Active DoD clearance (Secret, Top Secret, or Top Secret/SCI) or eligibility to obtain an interim clearance.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Pay range: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour.
