Summary: The Engineering Lead/Supervisor supports the Chief Engineer in maintaining the hotel’s operations, overseeing preventative maintenance, managing procurement, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The role helps achieve the department's financial goals while adhering to budget guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining the preventative maintenance program, ensuring timely work orders, project assignments, and documentation.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance of hotel machinery, plumbing, electrical systems, and physical structures.
  • Handle HVAC maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Dismantle defective machines, replace parts, and troubleshoot malfunctions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards in all repairs and maintenance.
  • Assist in procurement of supplies, managing purchase orders, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
  • Keep up-to-date inventories of heat, light, power, and repair supplies.
  • Monitor and manage energy conservation programs for the property.
  • Support the hiring, training, and ongoing development of engineering staff.
  • Respond to maintenance requests promptly, especially from the housekeeping department (within 15 minutes for occupied rooms).
  • Conduct pool chemical testing at least twice per day.
  • Keep a daily log of all maintenance activities.
  • Participate in special projects and committees as assigned.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and OSHA regulations.
