JOB SUMMARY
This role is responsible for safely producing accurate steel plate components from production drawings and cut files while maintaining quality standards, material traceability, and production efficiency. Must be able to operate and maintain CNC cutting equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Operate CNC plasma and oxy-fuel cutting tables to cut steel plate according to production requirements
- Load raw material onto cutting tables using overhead crane or forklift
- Read and interpret shop drawings, cut lists, nesting layouts, and work orders
- Set up cutting programs, consumables, torch height, gas settings, and machine parameters
- Monitor cutting quality and make adjustments to ensure dimensional accuracy and edge quality
