We're Hiring! Parts Assembler - Corpus Christi

Universal Plant Services is seeking a reliable and motivated Parts Assembler to join our growing team in Corpus Christi. This position plays an important role in supporting production operations by finishing, inspecting, handling, and organizing parts and materials in a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-conscious, and comfortable working with hand tools, equipment, and warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Part Finishing:
Deburr, clean, file, and inspect finished parts using hand tools and measuring equipment like calipers.

* Tool Proficiency:
Familiarity with standard hand tools and power tools.

* Shop Upkeep:
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace and properly account for shop tools.

* Material Handling:
Load and unload finished parts, including handling heavy items safely.

* Maintenance & Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including sweeping, taking out trash, and restocking consumables.

* Inventory & Logistics:
Assist with inventory counts, part tagging, and moving materials between workstations.

* Equipment Operation:
Safely drive sit-down, stand-up, or reach forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers.

* Loading & Unloading:
Receive incoming shipments, unload delivery trucks, and load outbound orders accurately.

* Inventory Management:
Transport inventory to designated racking or staging areas. Use RF scanners to track goods and assist with cycle counts.

Required

Skills & Qualifications

* Mechanical Aptitude:
Basic understanding of machinery and comfort using hand tools.

* Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy materials.

* Safety Focus:
Strict adherence to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safety protocols.

* Communication:
Ability to read and follow work instructions and communicate with machinists

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred

Hourly Pay: $16/hour
