Development Officer

* Manage portfolio of annual gift level prospects.
* Responsible for identification, cultivation, solicitations and stewardship of leadership annual gifts (ranging from $1,000 to $9,999).
* Work with the Executive Associate Vice President of Development to qualify and identify prospects for potential major gift solicitations.
* Coordinate with Assistant Director of Donor Engagement on donor stewardship and recognition.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Record and document in a timely and accurate manner contacts with donors and prospective donors.
* Perform all other duties assigned.
* Bachelor’s degree.
* Ability to demonstrate initiative and manage details within the broader vision of the University.
* Ability to maintain clear, accurate records and timely reports.
* Ability to work some night and weekend hours.
* Master’s degree in a related field.
* Two (2) years of experience in fundraising.
* Previous experience in alumni relations, development, individual fundraising, annual giving or event management.
* Experience working in higher education.
* Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) or Optional Retirement Plan (ORP)
