Senior Pastor

Calallen Baptist Church of Corpus Christi, TX, is a loving, motivated, and compassionate congregation led fellowship. We are prayerfully seeking a Senior Pastor. We desire a dynamic, visionary man, and a proven leader called by God, intentional in discipleship and gifted with spiritually-sound, practical, and relevant preaching and teaching.

A candidate shall be a Christian and an active member of a scripturally-based church. A Bachelor’s degree in Ministry, Bible, or a related field from an accredited seminary, five (5) years of paid ministry experience, and ordination by a Baptist church is required. He shall be Biblically qualified as defined in 1 and 2 Timothy and Titus. He must demonstrate a loving heart and live a Christ-centered, disciplined life.

He should lead by personal example in prayer, discipleship, tithing, and reaching the lost, with the ability to organize and inspire and train others to do the same. A Masters of Divinity and/or experience as a pastor or associate pastor is preferred.

A candidate will be organized, timely, personable, courageous, and service-oriented. He will be motivated by spreading the Word, making disciples, developing people, engaging the community, and helping the church live its mission with consistency and follow-through. The candidate will be able to lead staff, train deacons, strengthen committees, organize church operations, guide technology and communication improvements, support visitor follow-up, and equip the saints for the work of ministry.

He will be a people person, but not a people pleaser; a strong leader, but not a controller; a preacher and teacher, but also an administrator and shepherd.

Our 152-year-old church has an active membership of about 200. We are focused on discipleship and developing Godly relationships.
