- Provide support to Disaster Program management and leadership within the Victoria, TX/Corpus Christi Region
- Support Disaster Program management and volunteer workforce, focusing on volunteer engagement and direct assistance to recurring local disasters such as home fires and floods
- Support specific functions at the direction of a regional functional manager when assigned
- Guide and support trained volunteers
- Implement initiatives to increase Red Cross visibility through program and service delivery
- Facilitate volunteer-led disaster cycle services programming and functional activities
- Assist with implementation of disaster cycle services program activities or functions
- Monitor, collect, and analyze business data to improve services
- Engage disaster volunteers representative of the communities they serve culturally and linguistically
- Support development of Disaster Leadership Volunteers for disaster readiness, preparedness, response, and recovery
- Participate in regional disaster response operations after completing training requirements
- Work daily in the assigned geographic area to engage and mobilize communities and support volunteers
- Deploy to disaster relief operations outside the region at least once a year
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum 3 years of experience with social services or service/program delivery, or equivalent combination of education and related experience required
- Current valid driver's license and good driving record required
- Ability to coordinate staff and volunteer activities
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to develop project plans and budgets
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Ability to work outside regular duty hours, including nights and weekends
- Employees must complete required training and meet physical capacity requirements for deployment
- Regional disaster employees are required to deploy outside their region at least once a year
- Must work daily in the assigned geographic area to engage and mobilize communities and support volunteers
Demonstrates expertise in disaster program management, volunteer engagement, and community mobilization, with a strong focus on service delivery and operational support. Proficient in data analysis and project planning to enhance disaster readiness and response initiatives.
