The Volunteer Services Coordinator III, Assistant Director of Community Relations and Volunteer Services, performs volunteer services work including organizing, directing, publicizing, and coordinating volunteer services activities. Works with local groups and stakeholders promoting the SSLC and services of individuals residing at the SSLC. Provides technical assistance to support skills development and increased independence of the individuals through their experiences with volunteers and in community settings.

Assists with the development of educational and training materials and programmatic planning. Attends planned events and supports the department in furtherance of goals by speaking and educating the public. Ensures the best use of budget allocation by tracking and monitoring expenditures. Performs data entry to log activities and assists in preparing reports and develops training materials.
Essential Job Functions (EJFs)
Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. Serves in an on-call rotation, as assigned.
Interprets HHS and HSCS policy related to volunteer services activities and rules. Assists in educating staff and volunteers to ensure adherence to those policies, purpose, and programs to area communities through technical assistance, public engagements, the media, and onsite events.
Assists in the solicitation of contributions and donations to expand services and quality of program available for individuals residing at the SSLC. Provides support to the Volunteer Services Council and Family Association as a non-voting member as a resource…
