The Community Pastor helps people move from a first visit to meaningful connection, spiritual growth, service, and leadership.
Position OverviewThe Community Pastor is a relational, ministry-minded leader who leads the campus systems that help people belong, grow, serve, and take their next step. This role oversees Life Groups, Growth Track, guest connection, volunteer engagement, and community initiatives.
Working under the direction of the Campus Pastor and in collaboration with Ministry Support leaders, the Community Pastor develops leaders, strengthens ministry systems, and provides visible pastoral leadership during weekend services and special events.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate and champion the vision, mission, and values of Church Unlimited
- Lead, serve, and provide visible pastoral leadership during weekend services and special events
- Lead the campus Life Groups ministry by recruiting, training, developing, and caring for Life Group leaders
- Oversee Growth Track and maintain a clear, consistent assimilation process for new attenders
- Champion volunteer onboarding, training, development, placement, and retention across ministry areas
- Identify, recruit, equip, and coach key ministry leaders and volunteer team leads
- Oversee campus community initiatives and partnerships
- Develop and maintain systems that support spiritual growth, discipleship, connection, and engagement
- Track engagement and assimilation metrics and use insights to strengthen ministry effectiveness
- Collaborate with campus and ministry support teams to align systems, strategies, and goals
- Teach and communicate effectively in small, medium, and large group settings
- Support the pastoral care needs of the campus
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Authentic and growing relationship with Jesus and a passion for evangelism
- Strong alignment with Church Unlimited's mission, values, and staff culture
- Strong relational leadership and pastoral care abilities
- Experience leading Life Groups, discipleship, guest assimilation, or similar ministry programs
- Knowledge of volunteer recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention strategies
- Clear, engaging communication and teaching skills
- Strong follow-up, organization, and ability to lead multiple teams and initiatives
- Ability to recruit, equip, coach, and develop staff members and volunteer leaders
- Goal-driven mindset with the ability to use engagement data to improve ministry strategy
