Current BLS certification required (AHA only)

Must-Have:
Experience with knowledge and recovery of post cardio-thoracic surgery fresh out of OR, IMPELLA, Balloon Pump, Arctic Sun, TABLO XT/CRRT, and high acuity patients with multiple comorbidities and drips.
Previous experience with electronic health record systems preferred.
Description:
The competent nurse, within a similar clinical setting, practices independently.
Demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation.
Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to plan and manage long-range goals.
Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing.
Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.
Meets expectations of applicable competencies:
Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
Includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families according to their level of practice.
Using appropriate protocol, administers medications and treatments; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatment.
Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and resources.
