Medical Surgical is the field for you if you are most passionate about developing comprehensive, holistic medical judgement in your patients. You will care for patients with moderate-acuity who are facing a wide range of conditions, often multiple at the same time – such as cardiac disease with kidney failure. This simultaneous diversity allows you to evaluate your patients’ complete medical picture when making critical decisions, deepen your understanding of various medical conditions and treatments, recognize key symptoms and their implications, comprehend medication interactions, and determine when you should intervene.
