Deliver specialized cardiovascular intensive care at the facility, supporting patients after open-heart, thoracotomy, and vascular procedures. Assess, plan, and implement nursing care, collaborate with cardiovascular surgeons, and document accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems. To qualify, you need a current Texas RN license or compact license, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
One year of critical care experience is preferred, but new graduates are considered. Recommended skills include advanced cardiovascular life support, hemodynamic monitoring, strong clinical judgment, and effective communication.
