Adjunct - Nurse Education Pool

Position Overview

ADJUNCT – NURSE EDUCATION (Faculty, Adjunct). Responsible for supervising nursing students in clinical environments, evaluating performance, grading assignments under faculty supervision, assisting with patient‑care skills in onsite labs, and teaching courses (online, dual‑credit, early college). Requires proof of CPR, negative tuberculin test, and required immunizations.

• Supervise nursing students in the clinical environment.
• Evaluate clinical performance and grade all clinical assignments under the supervision of a Master’s or Doctoral‑prepared faculty member.
• Assist students with patient‑care skills practice in onsite skills labs.
• Teach nursing courses and provide clinical supervision to 10–15 students per Texas Board of Nursing requirements.
• Coordinate with clinicians at clinical sites to assign student patient cases.
• Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
• Develop and apply a variety of teaching methods and materials to meet course outcomes.

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and five (5) years of clinical work experience.
• Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Nursing and three (3) years of clinical work experience.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Texas.
• Current CPR / BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Current negative tuberculin test and other required immunizations.

• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN).
• Five (5) years of clinical work experience.
• Experience teaching at the secondary or college level.

• Must reside in Texas and be eligible to work in the United States.
