Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room/Surgery position requiring CVOR experience and Epic proficiency for a 13-week travel contract in Corpus Christi, TX.

• Active RN license in TX or a compact state currently in hand
• BLS required (American Heart Association only)
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR (cardiovascular OR) experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• BSN preferred
• SSN required for consideration

• General Surgery OR unit within a hospital setting
• Cardiovascular (open-heart) surgical cases with the ability to support general OR as needed
• Monday–Friday schedule, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• 13-week contract
• Provide nursing care using the full nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned surgical patients
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
  
  Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assesses and addresses patient and family education needs, including psychological, emotional, cultural, and social considerations
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
• Any requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed prior to offer
