Travel Registered Nurse – Freestanding Emergency Department (Night Shift)

Corpus Christi, Texas

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required

• Provide direct patient care in a 24/7 freestanding emergency department setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio based on acuity
• Rapidly identify and respond to time-sensitive conditions including Sepsis, STEMI, Stroke, and Trauma
• Perform procedures including splinting, wound care, IV starts, medication administration, and patient assessments and reassessments
• Operate and monitor equipment including Baxter pumps, Hamilton ventilators, GE cardiac monitors, and Stryker stretchers
• Accurately document patient care and clinical findings using Meditech EMR
• Provide oversight and collaboration with EMT-Paramedics during assigned shifts

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of emergency nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current TNCC certification
• Current PALS or ENPC certification
• CPI or equivalent certification required

• Experience with airway management and mechanical ventilators
• Strong critical thinking skills in a fast-paced emergency environment
• Compassionate, team-oriented approach with a sense of urgency

• Work in a well-staffed, 15-bed freestanding emergency department with a collaborative team environment and no on-call requirements
• Gain valuable travel nursing experience in a high-acuity emergency setting with consistent scheduling and clear unit guidelines
