RN - CCU

The Registered Nurse in Critical Care provides routine and complex care for patients recovering from post-cardiothoracic surgery and managing high acuity patients with multiple comorbidities. This role involves utilizing advanced technology and care protocols to ensure the well‑being of patients, including the management of devices such as IMPELLA, Balloon Pump, and others.

• Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families.
• Administer medications and treatments per established protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided accurately.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• One year of experience in a Critical Care setting preferred; new graduates may be considered.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA only).
• Valid RN license in the state of Texas or compact state.

This position requires working nights from 7 PM to 7 AM.
