This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill part-time, temporary, hourly assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises. Position Summary InformationJob Description Summary
Under general supervision from the instructor, the Nurse Aid Technician provides instructional support services through the performance and demonstration of specific and technical skill sets.
This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining laboratory materials, supplies, and associated equipment.
Nurse Aid Technician must have a flexible schedule as work hours vary.
Minimum QualificationsCurrently licensed/certified as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Certified Nurse Aide, Licensed Vocational Nurse, or Registered Nurse.
Required Job Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesKnowledge of: science of nursing; learning styles; standard laboratory practices; laboratory supplies; MSDS procedures; pharmacy license requirements; inventory control.
Ability to: apply nursing practices to practical situations; develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, students, faculty, and general public; maintain confidential and sensitive information; maintain accurate and complete records.
Preferred QualificationsLong term care experience.
