Tractor Operator Weekends NAS CC

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds of industrial, commercial, or public property such as buildings, camp and picnic grounds, parks, playgrounds, greenhouses, airfields, and athletic fields.
• Repair structures and equipment, including cutting grass with batwing mowers (>2000 lbs.), trimming hedges and edges around walkways, flowerbeds, and wells.
• Fasten attachments such as graders, plows, rollers, mowers (>2000 lbs.), backhoes, seeders, and disc harrows to tractor; adjust equipment for proper operation; lubricate and make minor repairs (tightening bolts, replacing washers, cotter pins, screws).
• Operate industrial‑grade tractors with batwing shredder attachment within the controlled movement area of an airfield.
• Use hedge trimmers, clippers, and edging tools; prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth; spray lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer or insecticide.
• Plant grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs; water lawn and shrubs during dry periods using hose or sprinkler system; pick up and dispose of leaves, paper, or other litter.
• Maintain logs of equipment usage, maintenance, and operational activities.
• Use a string trimmer and backpack blower.
• Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.
• Adhere to Operations Security (OPSEC) standard operation procedures.
• Other tasks as directed by the Project Manager/Supervisor.
• Must be able to complete and maintain certification to operate a vehicle on the airfield.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner.
