Qualifications and Detail about the Position

Summary:

Broad Function

The Corporate HSE Specialist helps the Corporate HSE Manager with the overall compliance and administration of the Corporate HSE Program. The position assists in the compliance administration of the company's HSE Program across the organization to maintain a safe and healthful work environment, and to ensure the security of company property.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions

* Promote, demonstrate, and instill Brock's Bsafe and Bbest culture in all aspects of the business.

* Conduct HSEQ training and orientations.

* Assist with the development and review of location audits, along with identifying systemic trends that impact the organization, and with strategizing on proper corrective actions.

* Assist with emergency response.

* Assist with development and implementation of HSEQ programs and procedures.

* Provide technical guidance on procedures and processes to ensure employee safety and compliance with applicable regulations and/or consensus standards.

* Maintain metrics and KPIs.

* Prepare reports.

* Perform sampling and monitoring where required.

* Assist with incident investigations and report preparation.

* Assist with the continuous improvement of the corporate-wide HSEQ program.

* Assist with the development and maintenance of an effective HSEQ Program which complies with applicable regulations and requirements, corporate policies, and client requirements.

* Provide consultation on development and implementation of HSE standards, programs, and management systems.

* Manage Client-required qualification database programs.

* Manage the Corporate HSEQ qualification process for potential and current subcontractors to ensure compliance with Corporate and Client requirements.

* Aid in other company functions as needed (i.e., investigations, incident management, etc.).

* Liaise with internal and external business partners to drive safety improvement and compliance initiatives.

* Represent HSEQ in a positive way; encourage safe behavior and incident reductions.

* Working conditions include outdoor and indoor field, yard, and shop locations.

* Working indoors in an office environment.

* Utilization of Personal Protective Equipment as necessary.

* Frequent travel as required.

Skills & Abilities

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with all employees at all levels of the corporation.

* Strong presentation skills; comfortable speaking in front of groups.

* Excellent planning, organizing, and project management skills.

* Ability to manage multiple projects.

* Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable, and courteous service to customers.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

Education & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in HSE or a related field preferred, or documented OSHA and/or other HSE training and compliance auditing related training is acceptable.

* Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE compliance administration.

* Experience managing compliance with qualification database programs (ISNetworld, Avetta, Browz et al.).

* Direct experience in field industry required.

* Thorough working knowledge of federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental regulations is essential.

Working Conditions:

ORIENTATION - Must be able to successfully pass Brock and/or Safety Council Site Specific Orientation requirements.

HEAVY WORK - Lifting up to 50 pounds of force from the floor to the waist and 35 pounds of force from the waist to above shoulder.

CLIMBING - Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and the like, to elevations in excess of 100 feet, to maintain three-point contact at all times.

LADDERS
