Lab Manager, Petroleum Products - Onsite — Corpus Christi, TX. Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is actively seeking a Lab Manager to join our Caleb Brett team, on site, in Corpus Christi, TX. • Render to clients an accurate, rapid, and efficient testing service of indisputable integrity
• Provide adequate supervision of testing and review of results
• Ensure that adequate calibrated equipment and trained personnel are available for all jobs
• Perform Laboratory employee performance, maintains discipline and recommends hiring and dismissal
• Seek new business
• Be a positive company representative to clients
• Set a positive example for all employees through your professional behavior and foster a professional atmosphere
• Carry out all responsibilities in a supportive manner with adherence to the Company’s Safety Policy and Procedures, Quality Management System, Ethics Policy, Environmental Management System, Vision and Strategy
• Exercise good judgement, common sense, and diplomacy in the lab and with managing the team

8 am to 5 pm Daily, Mon Thru Fri with occasional OT

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong Leadership skills
• Ability to lead and motivate employees to actively support the objectives of the laboratory
• Organized with time management skills
• Experience in handling chemical and petroleum products
• Protocol, procedure and safety oriented
• Understand the significance of the data generated by test methods
• 3-5 year minimum, specifically in GC lab experience, is required
• Valid Driver’s License with reliable driving record is required
• Minimum one year of managerial experience within a petroleum laboratory
• Minimum Five (5) years of hands-on working experience in a petroleum laboratory

• A college degree in chemistry from an accredited college or university is a plus!
