Overview

Pay range: $11.50 to $14.50 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.

We are seeking entry-level, full-time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate works with the store team to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. Responsibilities include greeting, engaging, and assisting customers with sales, loans, and other transactions, and serving a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).

The position offers an hourly wage plus commission based on productivity. The actual pay varies by work location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greets and interacts with customers to develop rapport and provide appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non-management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and merchandise displayed.
• Performs sales and loan transactions according to policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policies and procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Explains the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers; fosters a positive customer experience.
• Completes required training and other duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and perform duties for extended periods as required by law; some duties may include climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products stored externally.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old;
  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong customer service orientation, teamwork, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations; cash handling experience preferred.
• Willingness to work at multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and common office devices.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on the gross profit of personal performance. Additional details are provided during interview.
