Salary

$11.50 to $14.50 per hour, plus a commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process. Our store associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.33 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates for our pawn store locations nationwide. A Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire store team to provide customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. You will greet, engage, and interact with customers in a positive manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The role includes working with jewelry and general merchandise such as tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and merchandise display.
• Conducts sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items following established policies.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Successfully completes assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting).
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Ability to assist customers outside the building and retrieve products stored on property.
• Minimum age of 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Details will be provided during the interview process.
