Retail Sales Associate

$11.50 to $14.50 per hour. We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process!

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. A Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire store staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. They greet, engage, and interact with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. They work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise.
• Processes sales and loan transactions per established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items per established policies.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, demonstrating respect.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Completes assigned training.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Willingness and ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness and ability to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• May be asked to assist a customer outside the building or in exterior storage areas.
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Flexibility to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of their performance. Detailed information will be provided during the interview.
