Description
SUMMARY OF POSITIONThe Donations Crew Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of assigned donation stations, providing direct supervision to Donation Associates. The Crew Leader ensures that all donations are received and processed in alignment with established agency standards, while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for donors and customers. The Crew Leader is expected to exemplify professionalism and demonstrate Goodwill’s core values of Empowerment, Public Trust, Respect, Innovation, Quality, and Safety.
ESSENTIALRESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Manage employee work schedules, overseeing employee work hours. This includes creating schedules, managing time off requests, and adjusting employee work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and efficient operations. Coordinate coverage for shifts when employees call in or are absent.
- Responsible for training Donation Associates and providing hands-on support when necessary. This may include accepting donations, providing receipts, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
- Address and resolve customer complaints, escalating to the Transportation Manager when necessary.
- Adhere to and enforce safety and loss prevention to prevent injury to personnel and damage to property, equipment, and inventory. Ensure all operations are according to agency policies and procedures.
- Embrace and promote the agency’s core values in all interactions. Contribute to the fulfillment of department and agency objectives and goals
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma (or equivalent) and one year of retail experience. Additional retail experience may be used for the education requirement.
- Posess valid Driver License, clean driving record, and carry minimum liability coverage as required by the State of Texas.
- Pass pre-employment criminal background check and Drug/Alcohol screen
- Ability to work flexible hours.
- Strong customer service skills. Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in hot/cold, humid and/or dusty environment
- Able to bend, push, pull and stand for long periods of time
- Able to lift and carry a minimum of 75 pounds
