The Treasury Management Officer is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding treasury management relationships with commercial clients and prospects. This position partners with lenders, branch management, and Deposit Operations to identify opportunities, deliver customized cash management solutions, increase treasury management fee income, and support the growth of commercial deposit balances.
The Treasury Management Officer serves as a trusted advisor to business clients by analyzing cash flow processes, recommending efficient payment and receivable solutions, and ensuring a superior client experience throughout implementation and ongoing relationship management.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES and JOB DUTIES
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of treasury management opportunities through prospecting, referrals, networking, and relationship-building activities.
- Conduct joint business development calls with lenders and branch personnel to identify treasury management opportunities.
- Meet or exceed annual treasury management sales, deposit growth, and fee income goals.
- Prepare and deliver professional treasury management presentations and proposals to prospective and existing clients.
- Maintain detailed sales activity and pipeline information within the Bank’s CRM system.
- Participate in community and business development events to enhance the Bank’s visibility and generate new business opportunities.
- Communicate client-specific marketing strategies for assigned areas and maintain an effective, active, and volume-driven calling effort.
- Advise clients and prospects on product selection, account structures, and treasury management
- Proactively cross-sell and refer appropriate Bank products and services.
- Follow up with clients and prospects to close sales, obtain executed agreements, and coordinate implementation.
- Serve as the primary treasury management relationship manager for assigned commercial clients by conducting periodic account reviews, identifying service enhancements, and ensuring ongoing client satisfaction.
- Review account and product activity to identify opportunities for additional services and relationship expansion.
- Partner closely with commercial lenders to support business development efforts and deepen overall banking relationships.
- Maintain expertise in ACH Origination, Positive Pay, Remote Deposit Capture, Wire Transfer Services, Merchant Services, Online Banking, Sweep Accounts, Fraud Prevention Services, Commercial Card Solutions, and other treasury management products.
- Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in processing client requests and transactions.
- Resolve client inquiries and service issues through professional verbal and written communication.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state banking regulations, Bank policies, Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering requirements, and Information Security policies.
- Represent the Bank in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Regularly travel to offsite locations for business development calls and client meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Thorough understanding of commercial banking products, treasury management services, and deposit growth strategies.
- Knowledge of treasury management implementation processes and operational workflows.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze financial information, cash flow processes, and operational procedures.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and banking technology platforms.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum five years of banking experience, including at least three years of treasury management, commercial banking, business development, or related sales experience.
- Proven record of business development, deposit growth, and relationship management success.
- Experience presenting treasury management solutions to commercial clients and business owners preferred.
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation preferred but not required.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience should demonstrate progressive levels of responsibility within a banking environment.
