Branch Sales Manager – Corpus Christi

The HT Group is partnering with an established technical products and solutions organization to find a Branch Sales Manager for its Corpus Christi operation. This is a highly visible, player-coach leadership opportunity responsible for driving growth across the Coastal Bend and surrounding Gulf Coast markets, with a particular focus on customers throughout the refining, chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, and midstream industries.

The Sales Manager will lead and develop a small team of sales representatives while also personally owning and growing a portfolio of strategic accounts. This role is ideal for an experienced industrial sales professional who enjoys remaining active in the field, building relationships within plant environments, and coaching a team to higher performance. What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive profitable revenue growth and increased market share throughout the Coastal Bend and Gulf Coast.
  • Lead new business development efforts with end users, EPCs, contractors, OEMs, and other key industry stakeholders.
  • Personally own and grow an assigned portfolio of strategic accounts while meeting revenue, margin, and growth objectives.
  • Build relationships across customer organizations, from maintenance and plant operations through engineering, procurement, and executive leadership.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to refineries, chemical and petrochemical plants, midstream facilities, terminals, and other industrial sites.
  • Identify opportunities surrounding plant maintenance, turnarounds, shutdowns, capital projects, and ongoing operational requirements.
  • Develop strategic territory and account plans to expand existing relationships and identify new opportunities.
  • Lead quotations, negotiations, and contract discussions while balancing customer requirements with profitability.
  • Maintain an accurate CRM pipeline, including forecasts, account plans, customer activity, and opportunity tracking.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals through regular feedback, joint sales calls, performance management, and ongoing development.
  • Partner with internal engineering, operations, marketing, and technical resources to deliver comprehensive customer solutions.
  • Monitor competitive activity, customer needs, and market trends to identify opportunities for continued growth.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years of successful field sales, business development, or account management experience, ideally within industrial, energy, or process-driven markets.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience with responsibility for coaching, developing, and managing sales or customer-facing professionals.
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue and developing strategic customer relationships while maintaining personal sales responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of oil & gas, refining, chemical, petrochemical, or related industrial environments.
  • Experience navigating long-term, relationship-driven sales cycles involving multiple customer stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers ranging from plant-floor and maintenance personnel to engineering, procurement, and executive leadership.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, including an understanding of gross margin, customer profitability, and cost-to-serve considerations.
  • Experience with structured sales methodologies such as Sandler or a comparable approach.
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, ERP/business systems, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly throughout the territory and meet customer plant/site access requirements.

Preferred Experience

  • Existing relationships within Gulf Coast refining, chemical, petrochemical, or midstream accounts.
  • Experience selling fluid system components, instrumentation, engineered products, or related technical industrial solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical discipline; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • Familiarity with plant environments, industrial procurement processes, turnaround cycles, and the safety and quality requirements associated with process industries.

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary based on experience.
  • Employer-sponsored medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Employer-provided long-term disability insurance with additional voluntary coverage options.
  • Paid holidays and paid time off.
  • 401(k) plan with discretionary employer match.
  • Opportunity to take ownership of an established Gulf Coast territory while leading and developing a local sales team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced industrial sales leader who wants to remain close to customers while taking on broader responsibility for team leadership, market strategy, and branch growth within one of Texas' most active industrial markets. Interested?
