Position OverviewTarpon Specialty Services is seeking an accomplished business development professional to grow our Master Service Agreements and workforce contracts with major EPC contractors, industrial owners, manufacturers, shipyards, data-center contractors, and construction companies across the United States.
The highest-priority objective for this position is developing a credible path to vendor approval, an MSA, and active project opportunities with Bechtel. Candidates with current or recent professional relationships within Bechtel - particularly in procurement, supply chain, subcontracting, construction management, project leadership, or workforce planning - are strongly preferred.

About Tarpon Specialty ServicesTarpon Specialty Services provides qualified W-2 craft professionals for major industrial and construction projects. Our workforce capabilities include pipe fitters and pipe welders, structural fitters and welders, electricians, millwrights, scaffold builders, crane operators and riggers, painters and sandblasters, and technicians, inspectors, and other specialized personnel.
This is not an entry-level sales position or primarily a recruiting role. We are looking for someone who understands how major EPC contractors select and approve workforce suppliers - and who has personally moved opportunities from initial introduction through vendor qualification, MSA execution, and profitable job orders.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a strategic account plan for securing business with Bechtel and other major EPC and industrial customers
Identify and build relationships with decision-makers in procurement, supply chain, subcontract administration, project management, construction, and workforce planning
Secure qualified meetings and identify active and upcoming projects where Tarpon can provide supplemental skilled labor
Guide opportunities through prequalification, vendor registration, compliance review, proposal development, rate negotiations, contracting, and project startup
Convert executed MSAs into recurring, profitable workforce assignments
Coordinate closely with Tarpon's management, recruiting, operations, safety, insurance, and payroll teams
Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, contact map, activity report and revenue forecast
Represent Tarpon professionally at corporate offices, project sites, conferences, and industry events
7+ years of successful business development, account management, or executive relationship experience in industrial construction, EPC contracting, skilled-trades staffing, workforce solutions, or a closely related field
Demonstrated experience personally helping secure or expand MSAs with major industrial contractors or project owners
Strong understanding of vendor prequalification, procurement, contract negotiations, workforce pricing, and industrial project execution
Measurable track record of opening major accounts, generating revenue, and building profitable customer relationships
Strong professional communication, negotiation, organization, and follow-through
Ability and willingness to travel nationally
Current or recent working relationships within Bechtel
Previous employment with Bechtel or direct experience selling workforce or subcontracting services to Bechtel projects
Relationships with other major EPC contractors, LNG facilities, refineries, data-center constructors, shipyards, fabrication facilities, and industrial owners
Experience selling supplemental craft labor involving welders, pipe fitters, electricians, and related skilled trades
