Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Corpus Christi, TX. This position is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, cultivating relationships with existing and prospective customers, and expanding Triplex’s presence within chemical, petrochemical, and industrial markets. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market research, managing a sales pipeline, preparing and delivering customer presentations, and coordinating product demonstrations in collaboration with internal technical and operations teams.
The role also involves negotiating contracts and pricing, responding to customer inquiries, and ensuring that solutions align with client requirements and Triplex’s capabilities. The Business Development Manager will work closely with leadership to achieve revenue targets, support strategic growth initiatives, and maintain accurate reporting of sales activities and forecasts.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in business development, sales, and account management within industrial or related markets.
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships, including prospecting, networking, and client follow-up.
- Experience with market research, opportunity analysis, and development of territory or segment growth plans.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical products in clear business terms.
- Comfort working in an on-site environment, collaborating with fabrication, operations, and technical teams.
- Knowledge of fluid transfer, fluid sealing, or industrial products is highly beneficial; experience in chemical or petrochemical markets is a plus.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and basic office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, and presentation programs) for tracking activities and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Ability to travel within the Gulf Coast region as needed to visit customers, sites, and other company locations.
