Security Officer - Armed Municipal Patrol in Corpus Christi, TX serves and safeguards clients in a range of industries, such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and provide clear, professional communication and customer service to visitors and staff.

What You'll Do
  • Provide customer service to all visitors, employees, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable licensing requirements, and post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel and/or local first responders as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas, documenting observations and reporting suspicious activity to deter unauthorized access.
  • Complete routine security-related reports, incident documentation, and activity logs, and communicate status updates to supervision and/or the client representative as required.
Minimum Requirements
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a Level III armed certification for Texas only.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
