What You'll Do- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout facilities, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or access permissions, and support visitor and vehicle control processes in accordance with site requirements.
- Communicate with site contacts, local responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and/or operational issues that may affect daily operations.
- Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
- Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- A security professional guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
