Overview

As a Security Officer Part Time Access Screening in Corpus Christi, TX
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. You can build a schedule that works for you as a Part-Time Security Officer and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. This role involves monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and providing professional communication to site personnel and visitors.

Position Details

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: Daytime, Mon 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM;
Fri 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at an industrial location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, issue visitor passes, and maintain required logs to help support authorized access to restricted areas.
  • Screen incoming visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries in accordance with post orders, escalating unusual activity or access concerns to site leadership as directed.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols and documenting security-related events.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, gates, and perimeter areas to help identify unauthorized activity, damaged barriers, and/or other site concerns.
Minimum Requirements
  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Possess a TSA issued TWIC.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
