- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, and report observations to site leadership and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor directions and entry procedures, and document security‑related activities, incidents, and/or concerns according to site protocols.
- Support a professional environment by communicating with patients, visitors, and staff in a courteous manner and following post orders related to healthcare operations and security‑related needs.
- 2+ years of security‑related experience.
- A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Hospital vaccines required.
- Hospital morgue experience required.
- Proof of a high‑school diploma or GED required by the client.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
- 2+ years of service in a healthcare or medical‑related field.
- Background investigation required in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
