Telecommunications Equipment Installer – Level III
Provide detailed installation, removal, and maintenance of Data Center, Telecom and Wireless equipment which includes Transmission, Power, and Fiber systems with supervision.
Your ImpactBe part of installation teams at customer locations across the country, operating vehicles, hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and test equipment. Meet all installation standards and perform duties of Installer Level 3 or 2 with high competence and accuracy.
Core Responsibilities- Install and maintain telecom equipment at customer locations.
- Operate vehicles, hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and test equipment.
- Master installation skills per Telco Standard TP76300 and perform all duties of Installer Level 3 or 2.
- Possess comprehensive equipment installation skills on a wide variety of installations and systems including AC/DC Power systems, low/high‑density fiber systems, inside plant iron infrastructure, and supervisory/alarm systems.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage, staging and work areas on‑site.
- Understand and apply general company policies and practices, safety procedures, paperwork, and administrative requirements.
- Read, understand, and apply job/equipment specifications, installation documents, schematics.
- Minimum 3+ years of installation experience or equivalent combinations of experience and training.
- Experience with AT&T Central Office installation practices is a plus.
- Ability to physically place, remove, or modify working and non‑working equipment including cable trays, racking, data equipment cabinets and frames, data servers, switches, routers, repeaters, bridges, gateways, multiplexers, transceivers, firewalls, BDFBs, and fuse panels.
- Identify, label, measure, terminate and physically route the cables that supply AC and/or DC power or transmit data.
- Apply common sense understanding to conduct instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram forms.
- Proficient laptop computer skills and experience with applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) skills a plus.
- Knowledge of tools necessary to complete advanced assignments and installations.
- Valid driver’s license and able to pass all pre‑employment background checks and be insurable. Valid passport a plus.
- Travel required within home region and throughout the US without restrictions. International travel is a plus; expenses 100% paid by the employer.
- May be required to work in a raised floor environment, small crawl spaces, shaft ways, and telecom superstructure utilizing ladders and lifts.
- Must be able to vertically lift 50 lbs. Required to stand, walk, climb ladders, and crawl in tight spaces.
- Fully understand all company/customer policies, procedures and safety requirements.
- Compliance with OSHA Standards and safety protocols.
Base Pay Range: $28 - $38 USD.
Compensation is influenced by skill set, level of experience, and location. Employees may also be eligible for performance and referral bonuses, production incentives, tool/equipment and fuel stipends, company vehicle, per diem or other applicable compensation.
