Apartment Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our property management team. This role is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the community, completing work orders, and ensuring apartments and common areas are safe, clean, and well-maintained.

• Complete daily maintenance and repair work orders in a timely manner
• Perform apartment make-readies, including painting, cleaning, and minor renovations
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, drywall, and carpentry issues
• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and building systems
• Maintain common areas, amenities, and grounds to company standards
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls as required
• Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations
• Work closely with the property manager and leasing team to meet resident needs

• Previous apartment or residential maintenance experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of general maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances)
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
• Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• EPA Certification and/or HVAC certification a plus
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, and work in various weather conditions
