Job Summary

The Autoline Technician is responsible for the installation, programming, inspection, testing, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment used in Autoline operations. This role ensures equipment operates safely and efficiently while supporting production reliability and performance.

The technician will work closely with maintenance leadership and factory technical support to troubleshoot equipment issues, maintain system performance, and support continuous operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform installation, programming, inspection, testing, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Maintain equipment in safe and effective working condition
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance for electronic control equipment including air cylinders, valves, drives, sensors, motors, and gearboxes
  • Troubleshoot machinery performance issues with factory technical support both remotely and onsite
  • Monitor programming and calibration settings to ensure proper operation of production lines
  • Conduct daily equipment reviews and troubleshoot issues as needed
  • Maintain inventory of equipment parts and order replacements when necessary
  • Assist with safety compliance and provide training support as needed
  • Report all accidents and injuries immediately regardless of severity
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE including safety boots, vest, hard hat, and gloves
  • Plan preventative maintenance activities to improve system reliability
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum of 2 years experience installing and maintaining electronic, mechanical, or pneumatic equipment
  • Mechanical background required
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems including 480V and 120V
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • Must provide personal tools (basic hand tools and electrical tools such as metric/SAE sets, screwdrivers, and multimeter)
  • Must pass a drug screen
  • Valid driver’s license required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with industrial equipment such as water pumps, transfer pumps, or coloring machines
  • Experience in manufacturing, recycling, or heavy industrial environments
  • Bilingual is a plus
Physical Requirements
  • Work performed both indoors and outdoors in a manufacturing or landscape production environment
  • Exposure to dust, dirt, and industrial equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and walk short distances
  • Ability to bend, stoop, climb ladders or stairs, and work at heights
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and around heavy machinery
