Preventive Maintenance Technician

U‑Haul is looking for skilled technicians to keep our newest Ford and GMC fleet in top condition for our customers. Whether you are just starting out or have vehicle repair experience, U‑Haul provides the tools, training, and family‑like environment to help you grow in a first‑class team.

• Secure trucks on lifts and ramps.
• Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes, and replace minor parts.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Occasionally road‑test vehicles.
• Use a proprietary electronic pre‑inspection checklist.
• Assist in additional areas as directed by the supervisor.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience (preferred).
• Driver’s license.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.
• Regular attendance and reliability.

The role involves manual labor and requires safe, alert performance at all times. Protective clothing or gear (masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves, shields) may be required.

While performing duties you should be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., assisted or unassisted. You will also be moving frequently and working under equipment.
