Position OverviewAs a Lineman B1 you will build multiphase energized facilities. Experience required is a third‑year, first‑tier assumption of six months of field experience. You will report to the crew foreman.
LocationCorpus Christi, TX
What You'll Do- Work on utility poles and fixtures in energized situations
- Demonstrate proper cover application, handle energized multiphase primary conductors, and work around covered multiphase lines
- Frame transformer banks, rotate three‑phase secondary/services, and troubleshoot overhead lines
- Work around covered multiphase primary equipment
- Follow safety performance requirements
- Receive instruction in tree trimming, multimeter operations, line test equipment, cut‑outs and reclosures, advanced rigging, and line repair with rubber gloves
- Complete required company training, including safety training
- Perform administrative duties as required
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested by leadership
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the electrical powerline industry
- 2 years as an Apprentice Lineman
- All skills required for a Lineman C2
- Understanding of basic electricity
- Knowledge of proper use, care, and maintenance of hot sticks
- Pass evaluation of competency before promotion and participation in the Apprenticeship Training Program
- Commercial Driver of Light (CDL) license

- Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions
- All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English
- Work includes prolonged and repeated lifting (including overhead, up to 50 lbs), standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, crouching, and crawling
- Work is performed within the "red zone" of heavy equipment
- Working safely requires quick, accurate hand‑eye coordination and the ability to remain constantly alert and safe
- Pass pre‑employment, random, post‑accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens
- Provide valid US work authorization documents for E‑Verify
- Satisfactory results from a pre‑employment background check
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Pre‑employment medical fit‑for‑duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
