Overview

We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician to join our team specializing in Power Generation in Corpus Christi, TX.

$5000 Sign on Bonus!

Key Responsibilities
  • Completing preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on generators or components at the customer site with minimal direction.
  • Engaging with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Applying specialized tools and following documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
  • Completing required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
  • Completing training in line with skill and business requirements.
  • Adhering to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reporting any issues/incident to supervisor.
  • Performing preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field.
  • Escalating unresolved issues to more experienced field service technicians and/or supervisor.
  • Maintaining service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.

Education, Licenses, Certifications
  • Apprentice Certified Power Generation/ Electrical Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
  • Current relevant electrical certification
  • Locally valid driving permit
  • Licensing may be required for export controls or sanctions regulations compliance.
Experience
  • Basic level field service work experience.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products.
  • High Voltage/Low Voltage experience.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in generators of various sizes and fuel types (diesel, natural gas, propane).
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, battery testing, and load bank testing.
  • Repair or replace defective parts such as alternators, voltage regulators, wiring, control panels, and fuel system components.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
Troubleshooting & Diagnostics
  • Use diagnostic tools, schematics, and technical manuals to identify root causes of equipment failures.
  • Test generator performance under load and verify proper operation after repairs.
  • Document findings, repair steps, and parts used.
Customer Interaction
  • Communicate clearly with customers about repair needs, timelines, and maintenance recommendations.
  • Provide professional, courteous service and maintain strong customer relationships.
Administrative & Reporting
  • Complete service reports, work orders, and parts requests accurately.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and commonly used parts.
  • Follow company procedures and safety protocols.
Required
  • Experience repairing and maintaining generators or similar mechanical/electrical equipment.
  • Strong understanding of engine systems, electrical circuits, and control systems.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various environments.

DOT & Additional Requirements
