Field Heavy Equipment Mechanic (Level
2) – Corpus Christi, TX
Location: Corpus Christi, Tx (travel required to job sites)
Pay: $75,000 – $95,000 per year (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (overtime/weekends as needed)

Position SummaryRagle Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, hardworking Level 2 Field Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a large heavy machinery fleet. This is a field-based position requiring travel to various project sites throughout the Corpus Christi, Tx and other areas to complete service calls on company-owned equipment.
Equipment includes excavators, skid steers, rollers, and more (John Deere, JLG, Sakai, Gomaco, Terex, CAT, etc.).
Responsibilities- Travel to job sites to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and reduce downtime
- Diagnose engine, hydraulic, and electrical system issues
- Use hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools to remove and replace parts
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and job site requirements
- Complete service paperwork and documentation as assigned
- Maintain schedules and priorities communicated by project management
- Monitor equipment for defects and recommend repairs/replacements as needed
- Maintain quality control standards at each project site
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED preferred (not required)
- 3+ years of heavy equipment mechanic experience preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills in engine, hydraulic, and electrical circuits
- CAT SIS and CAT ET experience preferred
- Experience working on various makes/models of heavy and small equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must have valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word/Excel)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Spanish-speaking is a plus (not required)
- Must provide own tools necessary to complete job duties
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- During slow periods, may be required to work out of our shop
