Job Summary And Qualifications
The Mental Health Professional II provides supervised mental health services to patients and their loved ones. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, offering psycho‑education, leading process groups, developing treatment plans, and facilitating therapeutic counseling sessions using evidence‑based interventions in one‑on‑one, family, and group therapy.
What you will do in this Role- Conduct one‑on‑one, group, and family psycho educational and process groups.
- Develop treatment plans and participate in ongoing treatment planning meetings and reviews.
- Assess the environment and patient’s safety status; report and respond to actual and potential safety issues or changes in the patient’s condition.
- Identify risk factors, screening criteria, and interventions for patients with special precautions (e.g., suicide, homicide, falls, elopement).
- Complete assessments, group notes, and all other documentation promptly and in compliance with requirements, as appropriate to scope.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to assess and coordinate patients’ discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge.
- Conduct post‑discharge follow‑up as indicated.
- Master’s Degree
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Master Social Worker/Regulated Clinical Social Worker‑Intern (LMSW/RCSW‑I)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
