Summary
This GS‑12 Social Worker position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP). Applicants must meet all EDRP eligibility requirements and submit an application within four months of appointment. The award amount is up to $200,000 and the eligibility period is one to five years, as determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office.
Qualifications- United States citizenship, or if non‑citizen, only if no qualified citizens can be recruited.
- Master’s degree in social work from a school fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). A doctoral degree is not a substitute.
- State licensure or certification required to independently practice social work at the master’s level. Advanced practice licensure or certification is preferred.
- Verification of degree must be confirmed via CSWE accreditation listings.
- Experience:
at least two years post‑advanced practice licensure, with one year at the GS‑11 grade level. - Advanced clinical or generalist skills, including counseling, case management, and program evaluation.
- Ability to develop and implement outcome‑based evaluation methods and write practice guidelines.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Provide specialized interventions and treatment modalities in specialty treatment programs or with special patient populations.
- Conduct individual, group, and family counseling or psychotherapy, and advanced psychosocial case management.
- Incorporate complex multi‑causal factors into differential diagnosis and treatment.
- Develop and implement outcome‑based evaluation methods to improve services and design system changes.
- Offer specialized consultation to colleagues and students on psychosocial treatment within the service delivery area.
- Act as a clinical supervisor for unlicensed social work interns.
- Contribute to research activities, especially program evaluation, and support participation on departmental committees.
- Work schedule Monday‑Friday, 0800‑1630.
