Vacuum Truck Operator – Class A & B CDL

Summary/Objective:
The Vacuum Truck Operator will perform a wide range of physical activities requiring strength and flexibility of the whole body for handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating equipment and materials, and vacuum truck operations. The operator will be responsible for driving and operating all power equipment and vehicles safely and efficiently in accordance with DOT laws and regulations.
Responsibilities- Operate and set up all necessary equipment in accordance with operation training, guidelines, and safety procedures.
- Adhere to all safety policies and practices, including personal protective gear.
- Work safely in and around heavy machinery in loud, hazardous, and industrial settings.
- Manually clean, install, fit repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and all other external and internal equipment.
- Assist in general maintenance of company equipment, service, grease, etc.
- Wash and clean company equipment – pressure wash, clean cabs, etc.
- General housekeeping – sweeping floors, taking out trash, and keeping work areas clean and organized.
- Help with future job loadouts or unloads from previous jobs – return equipment and PPE to designated areas.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year’s experience behind an 18‑wheeler.
- Valid Class A or B CDL
. - Valid Tank endorsement
. - No restrictions; must be legally allowed to drive a manual transmission truck.
- Valid TWIC card or willingness to obtain one.
- Pass a pre‑employment drug screen, including hair follicle and urine.
- Medical Examiner’s Certificate or ability to obtain one.
- Pass a personal background screen.
- Pass an MVR background screen.
- Ability to travel for extended periods.
- Willingness to respond to emergency calls 24/7 as needed.
- Willingness to perform all required job duties in accordance with training.
- Willingness to perform all job duties in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Willingness to understand and follow all directions.
- Capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned.
- Capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Capable of standing and/or walking continuously for long periods.
- Capable of climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
- Capable of working in all inclement weather conditions.
