As a part of our dedicated team, CDL Drivers will be operating a Site One vehicle to deliver world-class service and landscape, nursery, forestry, and irrigation products to our customers. CDL Drivers are also responsible for loading and unloading trucks in addition to working with teammates to ensure the branch is operating successfully. This position will include the use of in-vehicle dash cameras to ensure the safety of Site One drivers, workforce, and the general public.

As an Activity Based Driver, you'll drive, perform preventive maintenance, and be responsible for the content, condition, and security of cargo. You will record all hours of service performed, maintain mule/tractor/trailer equipment in accordance with prescribed preventive maintenance schedule, complete all required documents for load transporting, monitor, document, and control refrigerated commodities requiring specific temperature settings/readings, maintain responsibility for content and condition of cargo/commodity/product within trailer, ensure all cargo is secured, unload trailer at store deliveries, adhere to accountability methods of receiving all products as purchased/loaded onto the trailer at pick-up time from vendor, maintain status as a qualified driver in compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR), and perform delivery driver duties.
Qualifications and key requirements include: minimum age of 21, 2 years and 100,000 miles of driving experience, knowledge of the English language, proficiency in DOT, local, state, and federal laws and regulations, and company safety policies, ability to pass a Department of Transportation physical and drug screen, ability to manage multiple priorities and shift focus between tasks in a fast-paced, unsupervised environment, ability to work weekends, nights, and holidays, high school diploma, FMCSA-qualified driver status, successful passing of DOT physical, DOT drug screen, background check, and verification of work history.
Physical demands include working up to 70 hours per week in accordance with the DOT regulations, regularly lifting, sitting, standing, walking, climbing, stooping, and bending, occasionally lifting 25-75 lbs, passing a Department of Transportation physical and drug screen, verification of work history, and meeting all DOT driver qualifications.

CoreResponsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Safely operate a DOT-regulated Class A commercial vehicle
- This is NOT a drop-and-hook position
- Drivers are required to exit the truck and actively participate in all jobsite operations
- Identify all items being delivered or picked up with the customer to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Perform visual inspection of equipment at pickup/delivery and document any damage
- Obtain customer signatures on required paperwork
- Operate material handling equipment to safely load and unload trucks and trailers
- Secure all flatbed loads using straps, chains, and proper load securement techniques
- Assist in full load securement, setup, and tear-down at customer sites
- Hook and disconnect hoses and support equipment as required
- Operate fusion equipment to build HDPE pipelines at customer sites
- Connect pumping systems and ensure operational readiness of pipeline systems
- Understand and adjust for environmental and weather impacts on fusion work
- Maintain compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and all applicable safety regulations
- Conduct job safety assessments prior to beginning work at customer sites
- Ensure proper use of all required PPE at all times
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and yard environment
- Work effectively in a team environment while also operating independently with minimal supervision
