Location
- This is a Tri-County Itinerant position currently based out of our IU Corry Industrial Park location.

Salary:
Bachelor's $65,301, Master's $67,442, Master's +15 $ 68,856, Master's +30 $ 70,568 (prorated for the remainder of the school year)

Work Days: 187 work days per school year over an EI stretch Calendar, 37.5 hour work week.

PTO: 10 paid sick days, 3 Personal Days, 2 Emergency Days per school year (prorated based on start date)

Benefits:
Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance upon hire date. $75/month for individuals or families. Life Insurance provided for employee at no cost.

II.

Position Overview

The Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit (IU5) is seeking a part-time itinerant Early Intervention (EI) Teacher to service students in the Tri County region. EI Teachers provide Special Education services to EI students (ages 3-5) in specialized settings to include pre-schools and day cares.

III.

Required Qualifications
  • Certification in Special Education (PK-8 or PK-12 Required)
IV. Desired Qualifications
  • Certification in regular education
  • Prior experience working with EI students
  • Experience utilizing Positive Behavior Supports
  • Knowledge of various disability categories (i.e. Developmental Delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Speech and Language)
V. Essential Functions
  • Developing lessons and teaching children in EI classrooms
  • Conducting evaluations to determine eligibility for EI services
  • Writing Evaluation Reports and Individualized Education Plans for EI students
  • Providing EI services as determined through the IEP process
  • Inputting EI data utilizing the PELICAN system
