Maintenance Shift Technician (Mechanical & Electrical)
Location: Corsicana, TX
Shift: 12-Hour Rotating (2/2/3 Schedule; 2-week day/night rotation)
Compensation: $32.40 - $38.00/hr (Starting rate dependent on experience)
The Opportunity:
Become a Technical Leader
We are seeking a high-caliber Maintenance Shift Technician to serve as the primary "First Responder" for our 24/7 manufacturing operations. In this role, you aren't just a parts changer-you are the technical authority on the floor. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex breakdowns to ensure maximum uptime for our extrusion and vacuum-forming production lines.
This position is ideal for a self-motivated technician who thrives on autonomy and wants a documented, transparent path for pay increases through our internal skill-advancement workbook program.
Key Responsibilities
- Emergency Response: Act as the dedicated point of contact for all machine breakdowns; perform immediate troubleshooting and "get-run" repairs to maintain production.
- Dual-Discipline Troubleshooting: Perform high-level electrical diagnostics alongside heavy mechanical repairs. (
Note:
We do not have separate electrical/mechanical roles; you will be the expert for both). - Electrical Mastery: Diagnose and repair 480V 3-phase power, 24
VDC control systems, PLCs, VFDs, and various sensor systems. - System Maintenance: Maintain and overhaul conveyors, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic equipment.
- Documentation: Interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to perform precise repairs and document all work within the CMMS.
- Experience: 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (Plastics, Extrusion, or Automotive preferred).
- Electrical Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot 480V, 24
VDC, and PLC logic. Candidates will be asked to walk through an electrical diagram during the interview. - Mechanical Skills: Strong aptitude for pumps, motors, gearboxes, and conveyors.
- Adaptability: Must be comfortable working a 12-hour rotating 2/2/3 schedule, including a rotation between day and night shifts every two weeks.
- Education: High School Diploma required;
Technical Certificate or Associate degree is a plus.
- Structured Career Growth: Increase your earning potential as you hit technical milestones through our merit-based workbook program.
- Advanced Technology: Work on large-scale production lines featuring industry-leading extrusion and forming equipment.
- Stability: Join a 300,000 sq. ft. award-winning facility with a 30-year history of success and global corporate backing.
- Community Impact: Participate in employee-led "Give Back" programs and sustainability initiatives that support the local community.
