Role Overview
As a seasonal Service Employee, you will join the team during our 5‑month, fast‑paced, high‑volume season. Your primary focus will be ensuring product quality from start to finish while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Responsibilities- Operate equipment and tools safely and proficiently according to company standards and guidelines.
- Inspect, receive, deliver, secure, and maintain raw or finished product per Russell Stover Chocolates guidelines.
- Inspect finished candy as it exits cooling tunnels; transfer candy from conveyor belt to trays and place trays in steel banks.
- Monitor candy weight, seal and secure boxes, and transfer to pallets.
- Maintain records and perform activities required of other members of the area, line, or team.
- Perform clean‑up activities as assigned.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure product quality and maintain compliance with food safety standards.
- Complete and follow FSQA training and programs to comply with regulatory requirements, ensure consumer safety, and support the plant’s food safety and quality objectives.
- Promptly report and take appropriate action on any observed or potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non‑conformities by notifying the designated plant supervisor.
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of the company’s Food Safety Culture through engagement and actions aligned with your role.

Basic Qualifications- 18 years of age or older.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to routinely and frequently stand, stoop, bend, twist, and lift overhead.
- Ability to stand on hard surfaces for the duration of shift (10‑12 hours).
- High School diploma or GED.
- 2 or more years of experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Ability to read and understand basic math, rulers, tape measures, scales, and thermometers.
- Ability to read and understand product specifications established by Russell Stover Chocolates and recognize deviations from those specifications.
- Experience operating a scan gun.
- Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Safety First: protective gear provided and daily safety training focused on Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Equipment: automated packing machines, forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and chocolate candy banks/steels.
- Active & Engaging Work: standing, moving, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs; constant motion throughout the shift.
- Comfortable Climate: climate‑controlled environment year‑round.
- Allergen Exposure: exposure to ingredients that may be food allergens.
- Dress Code: food‑safety‑compliant attire required.
